Cahoot selects Documentum to manage Web content

"The need to manage content will be increasingly critical as cahoot's range of services unfolds," says Tim Sawyer, director of business development and marketing. "Documentum was selected because it is both scalable and an end-to-end solution. The ability to provide a simple template-based authoring environment for writers to contribute content remotely via the Internet was also a significant factor."

IBM hosts the cahoot IT infrastructure and the Documentum software will run on IBM's WebSphere Application Server. Documentum and IBM recently announced a joint project to tightly integrate 4i and WebSphere products.

Cahoot opened for business in the UK in mid-May, but was forced to briefly shut down the service as it struggled to cope with user volumes. Operating as a stand-alone e-bank, customers access its services via the Internet, phone, and later in the year by digital TV and WAP-enabled mobile phones.
