Bruce Oreck, the US Ambassador to Finland, is to be the keynote speaker at Finextra's up-and-coming Future Money Nordics event in Helsinki.
The two day conference - developed in association with Helsinki Hub and Swift and with the full support of UK Trade and Investments - will bring together influential thinkers, innovators and senior banking executives at the Messukeskus convention centre on the 16th and 17th June.
Founding partners for Future Money Nordics include Holvi, Nordea and SEB, with sponsorship coming from VocaLink, CGI, Identrust and Nets.
For the keynote welcome speech, Finextra is proud to welcome US Ambassador Oreck. A lawyer by trade, he is the author of several books on taxation and has had a successful career as a speaker and lecturer on topics ranging from technology innovation to the process of creative thinking.
He will be joined at the event by an illustrious list of senior banking executives from across the Nordic countries, who will seek to redefine what banking truly means in the 21st century.
Future Money Nordics follows on from the exceptional success of April's Finextra Future Money conference in London, which brought together hundreds of industry practitioners from around the world for an event filled with collaborative discussion and debate.
The sessions at Future Money Nordics will be complemented by a startup demo zone and exhibition showcasing some of the most innovative startups and technologies from the Nordic regions. High-growth and high-potential companies from venture capitalist portfolios, business networks and accelerator labs across Europe have been hand-picked to showcase in our specially designed 'startup village'.
