Scotiabank's e-commerce subsidiary e-Scotia is to incorporate wireless technology from mobile solutions provider Diversinet into the bank's managed security infrastructure.
An agreement grants e-Scotia a worldwide licence to use Diversinet's Passport Certificate Server and Passport Authorization Product for customers needing secure, wireless, e-commerce certification services.
The bank says it will integrate Diversinet's wireless security solutions into its infrastructure. This will enable it to provide end-to-end wireless security services for mobile devices such as personal digital assistants (PDAs), pagers and smartphones.
