Morgan Stanley has become the charter member of First Call Broker Partners, a new multi-broker research programme from Thomson Financial. Institutions using the service get single sign-on access to Broker Partner Web sites via First Call's own Internet portal.
Beginning today, qualified First Call customers can access content previously only available on Morgan Stanley ResearchLink, in addition to commingled research from more than 800 brokerage firms.
Following an initial login, and using a single First Call password, customers will enter the participating brokerage firm's site through First Call's Web portal. No other passwords or accounts are required.
Scott Rosen, senior vice president of First Call research services, says: "The programme allows institutional investors to enjoy seamless access to First Call's commingled research as well as the dynamic content available directly from brokers' own Web sites."
Joe Gagliardi, principal of Morgan Stanley, adds: "Customers can continue to access our research via First Call's Web portal and now take advantage of the proprietary features and content in Morgan Stanley ResearchLink without having to use additional passwords."
Morgan Stanley ResearchLink proprietary content includes interactive company models, downloadable into Microsoft Excel format; industry primers and analyst investment presentations; glossaries of key industry terms; conference materials; Web casts, including investment thesis presentations, industry primers, industry conference calls, company fireside chats, and conferences.
