Misys has elevated president and COO Nadeem Syed to the post of chief exective officer, taking over from incumbent Bret Bolin, who becomes executive chairman.
The switch-over comes a year after both were installed in their former positions following the takeover of Misys by Vista Equity partners and its merger with Turaz, the rebranded trade and risk management technology business acquired from Thomson Reuters.
Bolin says the company has grown software license revenue and operating performance by around 30% and 95% respectively over the past 12 months.
"This strong foundation sets us up well for future success and we are confident of maintaining that trajectory. I am pleased to hand over to Nadeem and am confident that he will build on this great first year as a privately-owned company," he says.
Misys also announces the appointment of Amanda Mesler as chief operating officer, who will be responsible for the Services and Support organisation. Mesler joins from CGI (formerly Logica) where she was part of the executive committee with joint responsibility for the overall operations, CEO Business Consulting and North America, in charge of the P&L and 4,000 employees.
