American Express has launched an online financial discussion forum where visitors can obtain real-time advice from the company's financial advisors.
The financial forum will operate live on the American Express Web site every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. eastern time (EDT) on a different financial planning topic.
Ora Kaine, vice president of financial planning and quality of advice, says changes in the economy, the stock market and the tax code have prompted more questions on financial matters. "The Financial Forum provides a way for investors to get immediate answers from financial professionals," she says.
Site visitors can also submit questions to a new "Ask the Expert" section, and receive answers posted by an American Express financial advisor.
"Financial Forum" and "Ask the Expert" are the latest in a series of online initiatives launched by American Express including the financial tools Roadmap to the Future and a Retirement Success Planner, as well as Account Profile, the company's financial aggregation service.
