Italy's IntesaTrade is to add RiskMetrics' RiskGrade technology to its online broking site.
RiskGrade will be available to IntesaTrade's 37,000 registered users, providing them with the ability to assess the risk on individual stocks, funds and across their entire portfolio.
Alessandro Prampolini, CEO, from IntesaTrade says the firm looked at four other solutions sets before settling on RiskMetrics. At a later stage, additional tools will be added, such as asset allocation and portfolio optimisation, he says.
Formerly the risk management services group at JP Morgan, RiskMetrics was spun-off as a separate company in 1998.
