Robeco has been using BEA's Tuxedo transaction processing platform since 1998 to meet increasing customer demand for access to its services via the Internet, email, Short Message Service (SMS) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP).

In a statement, the group says it decided to implement the WebLogic Enterprise platform in order to leverage its investment in Tuxedo applications and expand its infrastructure to build new applications using Java.
