Yahoo! Finance has launched MarketDash, an iPad app that provides users with real-time market data, news and charts.
The free interactive app takes advantage of the iPad's multi-touch capabilities so users can manipulate views of stock charts, scroll across hours, days or months of market action, plot points in time and compare tickers in one chart.
The app also syncs across platforms so when a stock is added to a watch list on the iPad it will show up instantly in the Yahoo! Finance iPhone and Android apps.
Recent research from Good Technology suggests that the financial services sector has embraced Apple's iPad as a business tool far more readily than any other industry. In December JPMorgan decided to issue the tablets to all of its investment banking associates as part of a six-month trial.
