A new iPhone application that lets users make gold and silver bullion exchange payments from their handsets has been launched.
The application has been introduced by GoldMoney, which allows retail investors to buy bullion online and store it in a secure vault. Built with software developer Concentric Sky, the mobile tool that can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes app store for $9.99.
"Gold is a globally-recognised form of money, so enabling its transfer on a widely-available mobile payment device like the iPhone is an important step in restoring gold's traditional role as currency, using 21st century technology," says GoldMoney founder and chairman, James Turk.
