FXall, the global electronic portal for foreign exchange trading, has announced the appointment of Jack Lemonik as its chief technology officer.
Lemonik, who will be based in New York, is currently vice president, product development & chief technologist of Citigroup subsidiary CrossMar in New York. He will join an existing management team that consists of Phil Weisberg as CEO, Mark Warms, chief marketing officer, John Cooley, chief financial officer, and Mike Mendes, chief operating officer.
FXall is a bank-backed initiative to develop a multi-bank price discovery and trading channel for large corporate currency dealers over the Internet. It is in a race with rival bank-supported venture Atriax to be the first to launch against established third party portals such as Currenex.
Phil Weisberg, CEO of FXall, says: "Functionality and technology is at the heart of FXall’s offer. We will launch a cutting-edge platform that meets the most comprehensive requirements for trading. The role of CTO is therefore a key hire for us."
