Washington-based telecomms infrastructure supplier InfoSpace is to launch a facility for mobile device users to access a consolidated view of all their personal financial information from multiple institutions - such as bank accounts, bills, credit cards, investments and loans - in one place, using one secure ID and password.
The new functionality will be integrated into InfoSpace's wireless Internet platform of data and transaction services and offered to banking customers, wireless carriers, portals and others.
Future versions of the product will offer other transactional services such as bill presentment and payment and fund transfers from one account to another, promises the vendor.
