Sydney-based Cards etc has appointed former MasterCard exec Walter Greenberg as vice president global accounts.
Greenberg most recently worked for MasterCard International in New York, where he initially headed the smart card-focused stored value product management group and then served as vice president of global chip card business development, overseeing smart card activities around the world.
Before joining MasterCard, Greenberg spent more than 13 years with Citibank working on a range of projects including the shared ATM network (Citishare), home banking and Citicard product management.
Michael Walters, CEO of Cards etc, comments: "We have a long association with Walt, dating back to our work together on the global launch of MasterCard Cash in Canberra in 1995."
He says Greenberg will act as a "trusted consultant", based in New York but working closely with key customers worldwide
