Financial Objects is to demonstrate a new front office module for its ActiveBank universal banking package at London dealing room show DWT this week. The new module creates a trading interface for corporate clients, enabling front office positions to be viewed via the Internet, using a standard Web browser or wireless application.
The module links directly to the front office and enables dealers to view and respond to rate requests and prices, says the vendor. A rules-based rate engine provides an automatic response to rate requests, which automates the corporate dealing process.
Deals entered by corporates via the Internet automatically feed into front office positions, in real-time, and flow straight through to ActiveBank back office for processing.
Also at DWT 2001, Steve Lane, development director, Financial Objects will be giving a vendor presentation on the use of Pocket PCs and Smart Phones in the dealing room. The presentation takes place at 10:20-10:50 in the Queen Charlotte room, it will focus on the challenges and opportunities that occur as wireless devices are integrated into today's dealing room environment.
