Fidelity signs Banco de Credito del Peru to TouchPoint

Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) has signed Banco de Credito del Peru (BCP), the largest bank in Peru, to its TouchPoint customer interaction technology.

Lima-based BCP will roll out TouchPoint modules for tellers, sales and services and deposit account opening across its national network of 237 branches.

The Touchpoint technology is based on FIS' Xpress Enterprise Services architecture, which provides consistent communication across all delivery channels.

Commenting on the implementation Ricardo Bustamante, group CIO of BCP's owner Credicorp, says: "Part of our strategic offering to our customers is stability, and the inherent stability in FIS' systems gives us a means for providing services and functions to our customers that make us stand out."

"We are connecting every service and every application that we develop to the systems FIS has provided us," adds Bustamante.

FIS acquired the TouchPoint technology when it bought out Atlanta-based WebTone in 2003.
