NYCE Corporation has established an 'emerging network payments' group to explore new person-to-person e-commerce and payment applications.
Heading up the team of payments and product development specialists in the new department will be Neil Axe who recently joined NYCE from Dun & Bradstreet. The group is charged with extending the company's real-time transaction processing capabilities beyond its current automated teller machine (ATM) and online debit point-of-sale (POS) core services.
James Judd, senior vice president with NYCE, says Axe and the emerging network division are already working on a new person-to-person (P2P) payment offering.
This new group is the latest in a series of NYCE teams dedicated to exploring new products, services and solutions, says Judd. By way of an example, he points to the advanced products group, which played a key role in developing the company's PIN-secured SafeDebit solution for Internet payments.
