The online game, called StockWhiz Challenge, enables participants to use virtual cash to invest in a real time environment. Participants stand to win cash prizes of up to S$20,000.

SGX says the interactive game is a key part of its investor education strategy and is designed to educate new investors in share investing and enhance the skills of existing investors.

Andrew Liew, head of retail business, SGX, says: "StockWhiz Challenge presents an exciting opportunity for both new and seasoned investors to hone their investing skills in an interactive and no-risk environment."

StockWhiz Challenge is open to all Singapore residents aged 21 years and over. The game commences on 28 August and ends on 20 October 2006.
