Chase ATMs to dispense 5000 free US Open tickets

Chase is turning its 1789 metro-area ATMs into 'instant-win' machines that will dispense receipts that can be exchanged for free tickets to the US Open.

The campaign, which takes advantage of JPMorgan Chase's sponsorship of the US Open Tennis Tournament, is expected to give away more than 5000 tickets.

Winning receipts will have a blue tennis ball with the words "Winner!: You've Won!" on the back. Winners can bring their receipts into any Chase branch to receive two free tickets in the mail.

Michael Cleary, chief operating officer for Chase's Consumer Bank, says: "We are using the Tri-state area's largest ATM network to give virtually anyone in the area a chance to win some of the hottest tickets in New York."

All 1789 ATMs in the New York metro area, New Jersey and Connecticut, including Duane Reade locations, are participating in the promotion.

Chase is launching a multi-million dollar TV, radio and print advertising campaign to remind people to check the back of their ATM receipts.

The bank is also offering free tickets to people who open new current accounts with a minimum deposit of $500 and a range of prizes for existing current account customers who deposit between $10,000 and $75,000 into new savings accounts.

Each customer will additionally be entered into a draw for a chance to win $1 million by serving from the baseline at the USTA National Tennis Center. They will win $1 million if they land the ball on any part of an 18-inch Chase octagon on the first try, or win $100,000 by hitting a 36-inch octagon on the second try. If neither target is hit, the winner will receive $10,000.
