Dallas-based Carreker Corporation has won a contract to provide its fraud detection solution, FraudLink On-us, to National Australia Bank's UK subsidiaries Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks. The contract represents the company's first fraud engagement in the UK.
Carreker's FraudLink On-us is a mainframe-based fraud detection platform designed to assist banks in reducing cheque fraud losses by identifying potentially counterfeit and forged cheques either at the branch counter or in the back office.
Steven Meredith, global head of transaction and business services division, National Australia Group, says: "The FraudLink system has produced tremendous results in our operations in the USA and we are pleased to be adopting it as our global solution in fighting cheque fraud. We are now installing the system in Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks as well as in the parent bank in Australia. We will be installing the system in our two Irish banks shortly."
