The UK's Barclays Bank has named Citigroup's Dominic Trotta as its new chief information officer.

He replaces acting CIO Mike Foley who will become the bank's chief administrative officer.


Trotta was previously chief technology officer of Citigroup's North American and international retail banking businessess. He has also held senior technology posts at Chase Manhattan and American Express.

In his new role Trotta will join Barclays' operating committee and report to the bank's current COO Paul Idzik.
