Pictet & Cie deploys Reuters Trader

Reuters says it won the contract in a competitive selection process over five other vendors. The Trader desktop delivers international market data - including quotes, news, fundamentals - along with pricing tools and analytics.

Of the 50 positions of Reuters Trader at Pictet & Cie, 41 are upgrades from the existing RMM service and remaining nine are new positions.

Michel Mermoux, head of market data at Pictet, says the Trader product was selected following an evaluation by the bank's relationship managers, asset managers, back-office users and market data managers.

"Our users were particularly impressed by Reuters Trader's ease of access through the newspaper-like display, and the in-depth market data access and news that it provides. The solution is also appealing due to its light delivery infrastructure," says Mermoux.

Reuters says the bank intends to roll out further positions to other European and overseas branches in the future.
