South Africa's Standard Bank is implementing California-based SeeBeyond's middleware platform, Ican 5, to integrate applications globally across its investment banking division.
The SeeBeyond system will replace existing in-house developed and third party middleware systems and is part of the bank's move towards a service-oriented architecture (SOA).
Standard Bank will use the SeeBeyond technology to integrate applications including auditing, message tracking, operational control and settlement systems.
