Leman joined the SunGard Trading Systems/Brass business unit as president in April last year.

Prior to this Leman served as managing director of global equity customer electronic trading and connectivity at Citigroup. Previously, he was manager and vice president of equity trade support for Salomon Brothers. While at Salomon he was a founding member of the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol. Leman began his career at the New York Stock Exchange.

In his new role, Leman will be responsible for all program, algorithmic and direct market access trading done on behalf of HSBC Securities' institutional and corporate clients. Based in New York Leman will report to HSBC Securities global head of execution trading Kevin Bourne and CEO Anthony Murphy.
