Microsoft has appointed Accenture's Anders Abrahamsson as managing director of its Emea financial services division.
At Accenture, Abrahamsson was a financial services industry partner operating throughout the Emea region. During his 14-year tenure with the firm, he led several banking and insurance business transformation programmes and was also responsible for driving the company's strategic alliance with Microsoft Switzerland.
In his new role, Abrahamsson will lead a team of financial services industry managers focused on wholesale and retail banking, insurance, capital markets and financial messaging. He will also be responsible for identifying new strategic business opportunities within the region.
