NRI is to market a Japanese-language version of 724 Solutions' LiveClips product and alerting functionality for the Internet. Banks adopting the technology can offer consumers the ability to cut-and-paste personalised Web content, access a consolidated view of their online accounts, and receive alerts on their desktop.

Research conducted by market analyst group, Access Media International (AMI), reports that in 2000, the total number of Internet users in Japan increased from 15 million to 19.4 million.

In a separate initiative, 724 Solutions has teamed up with eCalyx India, to provide mobile transactional services to financial institutions on the sub-continent.
