FNS, along with its local partner in India, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), will supply and implement the software across the bank's branches.

Phase one of the commercial roll-out of Bancs involves almost 500 branches over a two year period.

The implementation is part of the bank's ongoing initiative of computerising all its branches by 2007.

Earlier this year, the vendor completed the first phase of an overhaul of the core banking system at the State Bank of India, again with partner TCS.
