Sony Ericsson adds Orc trading system to P910 smartphone

Mobile trading technology from Promyzer, a joint venture company formed by Swedish dealing systems vendor Orc Software and Trustlink, a provider of wireless business applications, is to be bundled with Sony Ericsson's new smartphone P910.

Online broker E*Trade says it will launch a mobile trading service, initally targeting the Nordic market, over the P910 in the autumn.

The Promyzer platform provides mobile access to around 80 electronic markets worldwide via the Orc Software's trading tecnology.

Users will be able to execute orders using the handset, as well as receive price updates and news.

Mats Bergström, managing director, Promyzer, says: "With this wireless product traders and private individuals are able to monitor and trade instruments in real time on multiple markets, get individual alerts on relevant market events, as well as receive news feeds.

Promyzer also offers a white-label version of the mobile trading system to banks and financial intermediaries, for proprietary use as well as for distribution to customers.
