MKS moved to upgrade its Eftpos terminal estate for PIN entry and EMV compliance after acquiring the point-of-sale network of leading Lithuanian bank Vilniaus Bank.

George Kotomin, general director, MKS, says: "After an extensive worldwide search we selected Hypercom's smart, fast and easy-use card payment terminal and key pad technology because they were the strongest in the mix and met our complete and very demanding criteria."

The EMV-certified touch screen terminals feature colour-coded keys and PIN-based functionality and are designed for fast and secure check-outs.
