Australia's Bank of Queensland has been fending off complaints from customers unable to access Internet accounts and experiencing difficulties with ATMs and point-of-sale equipment following the installation of a new A$40 million core banking system from Fiserv.
The new ICBS core banking system and Alliant branch teller system was switched on earlier this month following a 17-month installation programme under the guidance of the bank's IT outsourcing partner EDS.
Bank of Queensland managing director David Liddy has admitted to "teething problems" with the roll-out, but says the remaining bugs should be removed by the end of the week.
