Banco Vimenca, based in the Dominican Republic, has contracted with First Data for the supply of payments processing services via the vendor's Procesa joint venture facility in Panama.
First Data set up the Procesa facility with Panama-based Banco General to provide outsourced processing services to financial firms across Latin America and the Caribbean.
The operations centre uses First Data's VisionPlus transaction processing platform to provide a range of payment services for credit, prepaid, gift and corporate cards.
Victor Virgilio Mendez, business vice president of Banco Vimenca, says: "Procesa's processing solution offers us the flexibility we need to continue to support the demands of our many different clients, while providing the capabilities necessary for our continued growth."
