GL Trade's service bureau will provide brokers with direct access to the Liffe Connect platform via the Internet and its order routing network GL Net, for trading on Euronext markets in Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, London and Paris.

The vendor will host and maintain all trading and data management systems as well as provide updates and software releases when necessary. Brokers using the service can download the trading software directly onto their desktops.

Paul MacGregor, director of technology partnerships at Euronext.liffe, says GL Trade's ASP service will allow customers to select their bandwidth for accessing Liffe Connect, according to their needs.

Patrick Tessier, CEO of GL Trade LNE, says the development is part a strategy to offer cost-effective systems to smaller companies that require just a few trading screens.

GL Trade says that future extensions to its service bureau service will include connectivity to the Montreal exchange and to Cbot's electronic tading platform eCbot.
