European retail bank ABN Amro has chosen Sema's Essentis payment card management system to manage its debit card portfolio in the Netherlands.
The Essentis system, launched in July 2000, is designed to provide speed to market of new products and the ability to utilise new delivery channels such as the Internet and wireless devices, claims the company.
According to Sema, the technical design of Essentis allows easy integration with specialist external systems such as fraud management systems, behavioural scoring systems and ATM and POS networks.
The product has also been selected by Alliance & Leicester in the UK to manage its payment card operations.
