Standard Life Investments has already rolled out the system to 25 staff at its Montreal office. This implementation included Charles River's standard interface to Princeton Financial System’s PAM accounting system.

Roll out across the Standard Life Investments' offices in Edinburgh - where the system was piloted - is now underway, with the firm's operations in Hong Kong and Boston set to follow.

William Littleboy, director of operations, Standard Life Investments, says: "We are well underway in building a truly global and scalable investment management platform covering multiple asset classes. Charles River IMS will help us improve efficiency."

The global implementation is scheduled to complete at year-end when Standard Life Investments expects to have 135 staff using the system across its portfolio management, trading and compliance departments.

Peter Lambertus, Charles River president and CEO, says: "Charles River IMS puts Standard Life Investments' trading and portfolio management staff on one common platform across the globe, which will greatly facilitate the movement of orders throughout their various offices."
