Fortis will use the SunGard products for the matching of nostro and internal accounts, deal confirmations and securities transactions and positions.

Sungard says intelliMatch will enable the bank to consolidate all reconciliation functions onto a single platform and perform generic matching.

Fortis has been using SunGard's intelliTracs Payments system since spring last year and will extend its use of the product as part of a consolidation of systems across the bank.

Bernard Rozencweig, global information services manager, Fortis Bank, says the implementation will allow the bank to replace all of its current reconciliation software and consolidate processes across the enterprise.

"We are confident that the consolidation of these functions will help reduce our operating costs, reduce our operational risk, and improve efficiency while exacting greater control," says Rozencweig.
