The vendor says BITA Star takes a workflow approach the helps investment managers identify clients' appetite for risk and return. This approach also helps firms comply with KYC requirements.

The product calculates a proposed asset class level allocation for clients, or for model fund based managers, and selects a model portfolio based on the client profile.

As private clients require high quality reporting and analysis, Bita Star also produces a comprehensive report pack, providing textual, tabular and graphical information on asset class allocations, risk and performance. These reports can be used to agree investment strategies with the client.

Simon Tizard, managing director, COR-RS, says: "We have worked very closely with a leading private bank to design and build Bita Star for the private client sector. Our pre-launch research indicates that the system offers unique functionality by combining institutional levels of investment sophistication within a specifically designed private client methodology."
