US online brokerage Ameritrade has launched a Web-based service providing tools, education and information on exchange traded funds (ETFs).
ETFs are baskets of securities designed to track highly recognised indexes.
The new service features a searching tool and provides access to news, up-to-date articles, reviews and ETF-related product releases. Users are also able to access intra-day information on the most active ETFs as well as resource pages offering fund profiles, definitions, risks and portfolio approaches.
Joe Moglia, chief executive officer, Ameritrade, says: "We feel it is important to provide this resource to investors so they can better understand their investment options."
