The Mosaic system will be running under a Linux partition on the bank's iSeries AS400 HA utilising DB2 and will interface with First American's existing banking system - Jack Henry & Associate's SilverLake application.

The platform will be used to handle all aspects of transaction processing and management across the bank's 275 ATMs, including network settlement and reconciliation and reporting.

Noel Levasseur, executive vice president, First American Bank, says: "We are excited about the opportunities that Mosaic Software provides for our business model as well as the ability to leverage our current highly available midrange platform."
