US electronic stock exchange Archipelago has appointed Nasdaq's Bob Power to the newly-created position of director of listings sales, based in New York.
While at Nasdaq, Power held various posts, most recently as senior vice president of the market intelligence desk. Prior to this, Power was managing director of marketing at the American Stock Exchange.
Archipelago has also formed a corporate client group - a new business unit focusing on exchange listings and information tools.
The new unit - which includes Power - will be headed by Jenny Drake and Sam Long. Drake was previously part of the exchange's legal/regulatory team while Long was based at Archipelago's Europe office.
The group also includes David Strandberg, director of listings and former senior counsel in Nasdaq's listings group.
Drake, Long and Strandberg will be based in Chicago.
