JPMorgan implements TimesTen for real-time program trading

JPMorgan has gone live with a new equities stock booking and allocation application, dubbed Cheops, using real-time data handling software from TimesTen.

The US investment bank has implemented TimesTen as a front-office in-memory data manager for orders and program trades as they are processed by its equities line of business.

R. John O'Hara, vice president and global architect for institutional equities technology, JPMorgan, says that the use of off-the-shelf infrastructure software in the project enabled a quicker and more efficient roll-out. "We were able to focus our 'know-how' on our core areas of expertise," he says.
