The UK's Bradford & Bingley has gone live with a hosted ATM card issuing, processing and authentication service from Atmos, a division of the UK's Link Interchange Network.
As well as taking over from Bradford and Bingley's previous provider, the Atmos service also replaces the bank's in-house authentication systems. The switch to Atmos was completed in late October when the service went live.
The contract covers a cardholder base of 225,000 cards and also includes a 24/7 helpdesk service, handling calls from customers whose cards have been lost or stolen.
Neil Watson, project manager, Bradford & Bingley, says: "Atmos delivered a comprehensive bespoke authorisation and card management system for us on time and to specification.
"Atmos was selected because of its ability to meet our very specific requirements, including card and PIN processing, on/off host authorisation and a round-the-clock helpdesk facility."
