Parisian trading software vendor GL Trade has teamed with HP to port its products and services to the Linux operating system.
GL Trade says the decision to run products on Linux comes in response to a growing interest and deployment of the operating system within the financial services industry.
Vincent Burzynski, executive vice president, products, GL Trade, says: "By using the Intel/Linux platform GL Trade has been able to increase by 800% its performance on some key parts."
