Ethiopia has 1 city in the top 1000 and is one of Eastern Africa's best countries for setting up a startup. Ethiopia's startup scene saw an increase in 2023 and jumped 2 spots from the previous year, outranking Paraguay.

The Global Startup Ecosystem Index ranks Ethiopia in the top 100. The vibrants eed ecosystem of Ethiopia has jumped 5 spots to secure its position in theg lobal top 100 for the first time in the ranking, and completing in the top 100,r anked 100th globally.
