DST International (DSTi), the leader in business solutions for the financial services industry, announced today that APS Asset Management (APS) has extended usage of the HiPortfolio investment accounting solution to its subsidiary APS Komaba Asset Management (APSK) in support of its portfolio management activities.

APS, a Singapore-based investment management firm won the coveted award of 'Best Boutique Fund Manager of the Year in Singapore' for 2004.

APS, which specialises in Asian equities, has been using HiPortfolio – DSTi's investment accounting solution, since 2002. APSK was established to focus on building a fixed income business. APSK evaluated several investment accounting solutions before selecting HiPortfolio. A spokesman for APS said that "HiPortfolio was chosen to reap benefits from investments in the existing infrastructure and permit long term synergies".

Rhonda Lepsch, DSTi’s CEO Asia, said, "We are extremely pleased that APSK has chosen HiPortfolio to further extend DSTi’s relationship with APS. It is HiPortfolio's broad instrument support and extensive market coverage that facilitates its use on an enterprise wide basis. Whilst APS and APSK clearly have very different investment objectives, HiPortfolio's flexibility and ease of use ensures that it can handle the processing requirements of both companies. Further, DSTi's extensive regional coverage in Asia gives our clients the confidence that when they extend their presence in the region, our solutions will be capable of supporting their requirements."
