ISITC Europe has been undergoing significant changes in its structure (now a not-for-profit Community Interest Company) and objectives over recent years.

We are pleased to announce our latest development, the establishment of a series of European Councils, which will enable our community to become better informed about country specific challenges and innovations. This initiative will be led by the newly appointed Director of Community Development for Continental Europe, Fabian Vandenreydt. Fabian has over 25 years of executive experience in driving innovation in capital markets post-trade, international payments, and financial market infrastructures.

Gary Wright, one of the founders of ISITC Europe 30 years ago, currently, Director of ISITC Europe CIC said “ISITC Europe needed to change to meet the many challenges faced by our members in the future. Not least, the introduction of DLT, digital assets and the restructuring of capital markets. Real-time processing, sustainable investing and improving services for investors and Issuers are a primary focus, but there are many other topics that need a wider industry understanding. Our approach is to collaborate with other trade associations to facilitate a free flow of information, from Issuer through to Investor. Across the EU we aim to bring together leading experts in their field, to share country specific industry challenges and to utilize their knowledge and ideas on the introduction of innovative technologies, to facilitate a deeper understanding across all the actors in the Capital Markets We are delighted that Fabian is joining us to on develop ISITC Europe though this initiative and has consented to use his considerable expertise, to create something new and exciting”.

Fabian Vandenreydt commented "Having worked with many different global stakeholders of the capital markets industry for more than 30 years, it is a great pleasure to become a member of the ISITC Europe community and contribute to expand its membership in continental Europe. I am keen to use my experience with like-minded professionals to foster dialogue and innovation in relation to the advancement of key industry best practices."
