SC&H Group, one of the nation's fastest-growing CPA and Management Consulting firms, today announced the availability of two online Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) training courses designed to educate users on all facets of SOX 404.

These courses will help the growing number of corporate users impacted by SOX rules to understand all the nuances of SOX 404 so that they can plan and implement SOX compliance initiatives. With the recent news that all public companies have to comply with SOX within 18 months, it is critical that each and every publicly traded company take immediate steps to understand the full spectrum of SOX compliance requirements.

SC&H Group, in partnership with The Institute for Financial Excellence (TIFE), now offers two courses on Sarbanes-Oxley. Branded under the name "SOX IQ" these courses are available online and on-demand. The first course is titled "Complying with Sarbanes-Oxley" and provides a roadmap that students can follow to develop an integrated framework for complying with SOX 404. It is targeted to CPAs and other professionals that are required to execute a SOX compliance initiative. The course provides a comprehensive review of SOX 404, and gives the students templates that they can use to complete an audit. This course is accredited and will award the student who fully completes the course with five CPE credits.

SC&H and TIFE recently launched a second course titled "Demystifying Sarbanes-Oxley" that is designed to demystify SOX for all individuals that are impacted by, or need to comply with, the SOX rules. This course is intended for all individuals that need to better understand the business impacts and requirements of SOX 404. This high-level SOX overview contains much of the same content as the first course but does not include templates or CPE credit. Typical students of this course include professionals in the finance, accounting, and legal departments within publicly traded companies.

"Failure to fully comply with SOX requirements, even unintentionally, is not an option for publicly traded firms," said Tom Stout, Managing Partner of SC&H Group. "As we have witnessed over the last several years, penalties are severe for firms that do not follow SEC regulations. With our SOX IQ courses, we have transferred our deep knowledge of SOX requirements into inexpensive and easy-to-use web-based courses that will educate students on all critical aspects of SOX 404 compliance. These courses show SC&H's continued commitment to helping our clients navigate the difficult landscape of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance."
