The project involves licenses for Precise Match-on-Card technology, which will be integrated in the national ID smart card.

Precise Biometrics already in the Interim Report communicated this order for the first quarter, but at that time the name of the country was not mentioned. The State of Qatar is planning to provide its citizens and residents, approximately 1 Million, with national ID cards with built-in biometrics. Precise Biometrics is part of the consortium awarded for supplying Qatar with national ID cards. Axalto is the smart card supplier, Protech is the system integrator, Daon supplies the National Biometric Infrastructure and Bell Id supplies the Card Management System.

At the time of procurement Precise Match-on-Card was chosen since BioMatch is the most superior and established Match-on-Card technology in the world.
