Revolut, the global financial super app used by over 6 million customers in the UK, has partnered with British-Ukrainian Aid, a grassroots UK-based charity to continue its support for Ukraine.
The partnership will support victims of the war in Ukraine, with specific items financed by donations going directly to those in need. Revolut has also added Collections, a new feature in its Donations platform, which groups charities around a common cause. The list of partners of the Ukraine Appeal in the app is led by British-Ukrainian Aid.
100% of donations made via the Donations feature in the Revolut app go to charity partners. British-Ukrainian Aid is in direct contact with those in need on the ground, assesses what people need and provides immediate help for emergency and relief operations. The charity sources and delivers first aid kits, ambulances and evacuation vehicles, portable power stations and generators, as well as medical supplies and equipment. It also provides training to the staff on the ground and assists displaced Ukrainian families who arrived in the UK since February last year.
British-Ukrainian Aid covered the cost of hot meals for six weeks for 350 new pupils from displaced families who now attend St Mary’s Ukrainian School in London. The children had an opportunity to continue their studies in Ukrainian and make friends with British kids, helping them to integrate and adjust to their new life in the UK.
“As a British-Ukrainian citizen, I thank everyone for the ongoing support and I invite you to join Revolut and British-Ukrainian Aid in helping those who need it most right now. With Revolut and British-Ukrainian Aid 100% of your donations go to charity” - said Vlad Yatsenko, co-founder and CTO at Revolut.
“As a truly volunteer-run charity, driven by a growing community of supporters, we are happy to establish cooperation with Revolut. Together, we will be able to increase the reach and scope of assistance for vulnerable people in need. We are asking all friends of British-Ukrainian Aid and Revolut to join the appeal and donate” - said Andrii Mykhailov, Trustee of British-Ukrainian Aid
