According to Payments Canada, contactless payment volume and value increased by 13% in 2020, and the pandemic caused 43% of Canadians to prefer digital and contactless payments long-term. Due to the acceleration of touch-free payment methods, DCR is proud to introduce a prepaid card with exceptional cardholder security and convenience.

The dual-interface chip lets users tap and pay in seconds or insert the card at POS terminals worldwide. Contactless functionality eliminates the need for a PIN on purchases up to $250 and transfers encrypted funds using near-field communication, offering superior security to magstripe cards.

DCR’s new product is also the first dual-interface prepaid card in Canada to offer branding customization. The vertical card features a bold design that can be customized with logos or brand assets to strengthen brand affinity among cardholders.

With these benefits, the dual-interface card is ideal for reloadable payment programs, such as employee payments and loyalty programs. The product is also compatible with the TruCash Wallet app, where users can transfer funds, view transaction history, and convert points to cash.
