FPL names Barry Marshall co-chair, Europe regional committee

FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) has announced that Barry Marshall of Gartmore Investment Management has been elected to the Co-Chair position of the Europe Regional Committee. Mr. Marshall will serve in this role for two years.

Barry joined Gartmore as Head of Derivative Investment in 1991 and is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Investment Division and responsible for dealing, derivatives and operations.

Following commercial/corporate planning roles at Hawker Siddeley, GEC and Redland, he worked toward an MBA at London Business School spending a term at Stanford Business School, California. After working as an investment analyst at Capel-Cure Myers and Swiss Bank Corp, Barry changed disciplines at SBC establishing a warrants and convertibles specialisation. He moved to Citicorp Scrimgeour Vickers and, at Citicorp Investment Bank, established an 'Over The Counter' equity derivatives operation.

As co-chair of the FPL Europe Regional Committee, Barry will work alongside Maria Domnick of Credit Suisse First Boston.
