Triodos Bank’s UK personal current account customers now have access to untied, enabling them to get on top of their tax returns quickly and easily by linking their bank accounts, tagging income and expenditure, and helping them review their transactions with tax in mind. untied also provides a full and real-time tax calculation which helps users put the correct money aside for when they come to pay their annual tax bill and file their tax returns directly to HMRC.

Triodos Bank is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates in five countries across Europe. As a sustainable bank, Triodos customers are individuals, organisations and businesses who want to make their money work for positive social, environmental and cultural change. It offers a range of accounts and services from current accounts to loans, savings accounts and investment opportunities.

Gareth Griffiths, head of retail banking at Triodos Bank UK, commented: “This new partnership with untied gives our personal current account customers many more options when it comes to navigating their tax returns. We hope that services which utilise Open Banking, like untied, will bring opportunities to make administration much easier for our customers. It’s exciting to be combining sustainable banking with leading financial technology.”

Kevin Sefton, CEO, untied, said: “Triodos Bank’s ethos - to challenge the conventional way finances are conducted - mirror ours very closely, so we are thrilled to partner with the bank. We also love the way it encourages the banking sector to become more transparent, diverse and sustainable and allows more people to consider the impact of their money. It’s an inspiring alternative for customers who want a more ethical focus from their banking provider. We look forward to working with Triodos into the future and helping its customers get a better insight into their taxes.”
